Privacy Policy
EverOak & Kin is a private sharing app for people you choose. This policy explains what information EverOak & Kin uses, why it is used, and the controls available to you.
Information We Collect
- Account details such as name, email, username, profile photo, and profile cover.
- Content you choose to create, including posts, comments, polls, event details, whispers, saved posts, profile text, photos, videos, voice notes, recipes, and media attachments.
- Your connections, circles, household membership, invites, RSVP status, notification preferences, muted circles, and account settings.
- Location text that you type into a profile, post, or event. EverOak & Kin does not currently request device GPS location permission.
- Contact names and date metadata only when you choose to import birthdays or anniversaries. EverOak & Kin does not write to your device contacts.
- Device push tokens when notifications are enabled.
- Subscription product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase status, and restore results needed to unlock paid plans.
- Basic product events used to debug reliability, understand feature health, and operate safety controls.
How Data Is Used
EverOak & Kin uses this information to authenticate accounts, show content to the people and circles selected by the author, deliver notifications, keep media available, provide account controls, enforce safety limits, prevent misuse, and respond to support, export, or deletion requests.
Sharing
Posts, comments, events, whispers, media, and other shared content are shown only to the people or circles selected for that content. EverOak & Kin does not sell personal data and does not use third-party advertising tracking. Service providers such as Firebase, Expo, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Stripe may process data needed to run authentication, storage, hosting, push notifications, subscriptions, app distribution, and related service operations.
Retention
EverOak & Kin keeps account data while the account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security. When a deletion request is completed, EverOak & Kin removes the Firebase Auth user, profile, posts, media under the account storage path, conversations, invites, notifications, reports, analytics events, and circle references where the account appeared.
Choices
You can export your data, request account deletion in the app, change notification settings, mute circles, remove connections, delete posts, update your profile, manage store subscriptions through Apple or Google, and restore purchases in the app.
